Specials
To make it easier for the user, there are some Specials available. Some examples of these specials are the ‘HOT50’; with all the big star athletes of this year, ‘Winners of Beijing, ‘The prettiest athletes’ and ‘The press’. We asked some well known athletes who their favorites are on Twitter. The Dutch swimmer Ranomi Kromowidjojo made a list of Olympic swimmers that she follows on Twitter. As the Olympic Games  go on, there will be added more specials based on the Olympic news. Specials like ‘Medal winners’ and ‘The drop outs’ will be added.

Social Games
The Games in London are being called the first ‘Social Games’. Athletes will be communicating directly about their adventures in the Olympic village. Since the last Olympic Games in Beijing, the use of social media and smartphones has increased exponentially. In the US, the number of Twitter accounts has increased from 1 million in 2008, to more than 300 million in 2012. The number of smartphones has increased with more than 450%.
